The authority has already awarded tenders worth Rs 52 crore for the repair work.

"Work on some of the roads such as Maharaja Agrasen Marg, Master Plan-I and Master Plan-III is already under way. We are filling the potholes wherever required since they cause a lot of inconvenience to commuters. We will make sure that all roads are repaired by the end of March," said AK Goyal, chief maintenance engineer, Noida authority.

The authority has also resurfaced the service lane of NH-24, enabling smooth drive for thousands of commuters. Besides, the authority has earmarked R200 crore for road strengthening work in all the 17 industrial sectors where the present condition is said to in dire straits.

"We will ensure all that no potholes remain on the city roads. All roads will be repaired in the next three months by all means. Some of tenders have already been awarded, will some will be awarded very soon," said Goyal.

Apart from the various resurfacing and strengthening work, the authority is reconstructing Khoda road with cement as the road has been damaged due to sewer overflow.

"Khoda village is located along Khoda road on NH-24. Sewerage overflow has damaged this road in a matter of few months. Therefore, we have decided to rebuild it using cement this time," said another authority official.

Despite the tall claims of the authority, residents in the city don't seem to be an especially impressed lot.
