Interestingly, complainant Nayab Tehsildar Shyam Babu made ‘Zarqawi’ the main accused and held secretary, State Transport Authority, Nizam Sheikh Alam Siddiqui, deputy transport commissioner, Lucknow region, Rajendra Prasad, stamp vendor Rajendra Prasad Sharma and two advocates KK Jaiswal and PK Singh, responsible for helping the accused in getting the fake document.

The complainant alleged that the named accused got a fake domicile certificate issued from the collectorate after producing forged documents. The cops stated that it would be corroborated after investigation if the certificate issued was made in the name of the slain militant or someone else.

On Thursday, Siddiqui and Rajendra Prasad, however, denied the charges framed against them in the case. They claimed that the document carrying their signatures was a fake one and that they were unaware about any such certificate made in the name of ‘Zarqawi’.

Meanwhile, the administration has decided to verify the applicants for the allowance physically.
