Hotel giants Hilton have signed a franchise agreement with Joginder Sanger to convert his upmarket family-owned 64-suite Hotel Bentley, where Manmohan Singh stayed on his visit to London, into a Waldorf Astoria super luxury property, reports Vijay Dutt.
Hotel giants Hilton have signed a franchise agreement with Joginder Sanger — originally from a Jalandhar village — to convert his upmarket family-owned 64-suite Hotel Bentley, where Manmohan Singh stayed on his visit to London, into a Waldorf Astoria super luxury property.

It will now be the second Waldorf Astoria brand hotel in Europe, like the landmark Waldorf Astoria in New York, after the one in Rome and joins the ranks of the world’s top hotels.
The Sanger family’s second hotel Courthouse near Regent Street too is part of the franchise agreement with Hilton and will be turned into a Doubletree, one of Hilton’s other main brands. The 112-room hotel will be the third outlet for the chain in the UK and the first in London.
