NSCN (IM) council meeting in Dimapur on Dec 11

The collective leadership of the rebel National Socialist Council of Nagaland- Isak-Muivah (NSCN-IM) is meeting on Saturday to review preparations for the arrival of council Chairman Isak Chisi Swu and General Secretary Th Muivah.

Informed sources exclusively said that the rebel outfit's joint council meeting would be meeting at "Camp Hebron", the NSCN-IM's council headquarters in the Intinki Forest area on the outskirts of Dimapur.

All the senior office bearers, military commanders and Kilonsers (ministers) are expected to attend the meeting, the Deputy Information Minister of the NSCN (IM), K Chawang said.

The duo would be landing in Nagaland on December 14 and are expected to stay at the outfit's highly secured headquarters, the sources said.

The NSCN(IM) leaders have this past week met a host of politicians in New Delhi, including the Prime Minister, Dr Manmohan Singh, Congress party president Sonia Gandhi, former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Leader of the Opposition, LK Advani, besides Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar and Defence Minister Pranab Mukherjee.
