One kg of heroin seized near Doda

Police today arrested two alleged narcotic smugglers and recovered one kg of heroin, worth Rs one crore in the international market, in Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir.

Police today arrested two alleged narcotic smugglers and recovered one kg of heroin, worth Rs one crore in the international market, in Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir. Acting on a tip off, a police team led by Additional SP Doda, Arif Rishu intercepted Mohammad Mushtaq and Aijaz Ahmed after a chase when they tried to escape at a check point in Seri-Bhaderwah area of the district, police officials said.

During a search, police recovered one kg of heroin estimated to be worth Rs one crore in international market, they said adding a case was registered against the duo.
