Pakistan Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz will visit the United States to meet President W George Bush on January 24, sources said.

Bush looks forward to discussing earthquake reconstruction, bilateral economic ties, and the war on terror, a White House press statement said.
Pakistan is a key ally of the United States in the war on terror, and the visit would be Aziz's first since he took office.
Pakistani Embassy sources said Aziz's engagement in Washington DC would include meetings with lawmakers, businessmen and other officials, besides a lecture at the Heritage Foundation, a conservative think tank.
He is also scheduled to travel to New York to call on UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan.
