Acting on specific information that explosives were kept at Akbarpur village in Makhdumpur police station limits, police raided the houses of Chandradeep Yadav and Praveen early on Tuesday morning, Superintendent of Police Manu Maharaj told PTI.
He said while 60 kg of ammonium nitrate and 40 detonators were recovered from the house of Chandradeep Yadav, 50 detonators and some fuse wires were seized from the house of Praveen.
These people used to sell the explosives for illegal stone quarrying, the SP said, adding it was being probed whether they had any links with the naxalites.
