Pre-monsoon showers on Friday lashed most parts of Mewat region and the annual rains are expected to reach Rajasthan within a week, a Met official said.

"Pre-monsoon activities have begun in Dholpur, Alwar, Bharatpur, Bhilwara, Karauli, Pratapgarh, and Jaipur districts since yesterday and South West monsoon would strike entire Rajasthan latest by next Monday," Met Director S S Singh said.
Jaipur, Dausa and Sawaimadhopur regions experiencing squall since last night are likely to receive showers tonight, he said.
All northerly regions of Mewat received rainfall from 10 mm to 27 mm, except Dholpur where pre-monsoon activity aggravated due to favourable conditions and the maximum rainfall was recorded at 10.6 cm.
