"The Telangana Praja Front floated by balladeer Gaddar is against contesting in elections. We have a basic difference of opinion with him on this point. So, we have come together and we are not averse to fight elections," MLC and Telangana Vimochana Samiti (TVS) leader K Dileep Kumar told reporters.
"But we are not against Gaddar or TRS," he said.
A prominent member of the committee Vimala, a pro-Telangana activist, broke ranks with Gaddar due to difference of opinion on contesting elections.
"The coordination committee would chalk out our programmes and others would support them," Kumar said.
The committee appealed to the people to observe Andhra Pradesh Formation Day on November 1 as "betrayal day" and to write one crore letters to the Centre, asking it to take steps for formation of Telangana state.
The committee also demanded withdrawal of all the police cases filed against students and other Telangana supporters during the statehood agitation early this year and a bill for the formation of separate state be tabled in Parliament.
