THE MAYOR-IN-COUNCIL (MiC) on Saturday approved a proposal for developing 100 stops for minibuses in the City under its BOT scheme.
Mayor Sunil Sood chaired the Mayor in Council meeting. After introduction of star buses in the City, old bus stops will be renovated besides constructing new ones under the BOT.
In exchange, the company would be given advertising space on the bus stops. The project to develop bus stops will cost Rs 1 crore.
Developing bus stops was discussed on several occasions at Divisional Traffic Coordination Committee meetings. Besides, the Mayor in Councilalso approved the proposal to rent out Yadgar-e-Shahejahani Park for circus shows. The Mayor in Council also discussed the issue of sanitation in view of dengue outbreak in North India.
