Smartly attired in an overcoat and trousers, Mahima Khanna, 22, feels it is imperative to keep up with the latest trends.india Updated: Dec 13, 2003 15:12 IST
As the winter sets in, and the party scene in the Capital becomes even more hip and happening, the pretty young things in the city are also gearing up to spruce up their wardrobe. Mahima Khanna, 22, is no exception, “December is a rocking month and this is the time of the year when people go out the maximum. And, of course, one needs to keep updating one’s wardrobe to keep up with the latest trends.”
On other occasions, Khanna, a Modern School, Barakhamba Road alumna, loves to don a pair of funky trousers and skirts with a smart-yet-casual top. “I like to wear whatever I think looks elegant yet stylish. It goes without saying that I have to be comfortable in it too,” adds Khanna who is planning to do her MBA from Symbiosis, Pune.
Khanna particularly likes overcoats and short jackets and co-ordinates them with scarves and funky mufflers. “Sunflower in Greater Kailash has some trendy stuff and for a college student they are well priced as well,” she adds.
As for shoes and bags, Khanna prefers international brands to Indian ones when she says, “I like Prada and Gucci bags. Even though they are slightly steeply priced, I feel they are worth the money. Coming to shoes, I would go for long black boots as they go well with faded jeans and well-fitted trousers.”
