A magnitude-5.1 earthquake hit southwestern China on Saturday, killing at least 11 people and injuring 41.

The earthquake occurred at 9:10 am (0100 GMT) and was centered in Yunnan province's Yanjin county, about 90 kilometres (55 miles) from Zhaotong city.
