?Rajbhasha Act should be strictly followed?

RAJA RAMANNA Centre for Advance Technology (RRCAT) Director Dr Vinod Chandra Sahni, while presiding over the half yearly review meeting of City Rajbhasha Committee of the Central government offices organised at Indore on Thursday, said that the provisions of Rajbhasha Act should be strictly followed to ensure the expected development of Hindi.

RAJA RAMANNA Centre for Advance Technology (RRCAT) Director Dr Vinod Chandra Sahni, while presiding over the half yearly review meeting of City Rajbhasha Committee of the Central government offices organised at Indore on Thursday, said that the provisions of Rajbhasha Act should be strictly followed to ensure the expected development of Hindi.

Sahni said it is easy to work in Hindi and also referred to the recent visit of members of Parliamentary Rajbhasha Committee and their expectations about the development of Hindi in daily official work.

The programmes conducted to create awareness and encourage the use of Hindi language were reviewed at the meeting. While reviewing the programmes, he said that notices in the public interest should be issued in Hindi. He also said letters obtained in Hindi should be replied in the same language.

Rajbhasha Coordination Committee Bhopal Deputy Director Sunil Sarvahi was also present at the programme. Committee secretary Jainarayan Joshi informed about the decisions taken in the last meeting and its proceedings.

Chief Income Tax Commissioner Ajit Kumar, Madhya Pradesh Regional Provident Fund Commissioner Rajshekhar Hegde, Doordarshan Centre Director Anil Sharma and the department heads of all the offices of Central Government participated in the programme.
