Home Delivery: Yes, in the vicinity. Minimum Order: Rs 100.

Parking on Weekdays/Weekends: At the busy Defence Colony Market, it’s easy on weekdays, but difficult in the evening and on weekends. At Hotel Janpath, Lajpat Nagar, Ashok Vihar and Noida, parking isn’t much of a problem. But it’s difficult in the evenings at Vasant Kunj.

Note: Sagar serves only South Indian (primarily Udipi) food. Its sister chain of restaurants, Sagar Ratna, also has North Indian and Chinese items on the menu.
Jayaram Banan, the unassuming owner of the Sagar, Sagar Ratna and Swagath restaurants, makes it a point to personally supervise the food being served at the Defence Colony outlet. That's the secret of his success, which saw him arrive in Delhi as a kitchen hand and then rise to become of the city's richest restaurateurs. If you wish to know about the food served inside, join the queue of people waiting to get into the restaurant. From the chilled dahi vada to the crisp dosas to the perfectly cooked uthapams, there's no room for disappointment at Sagar. Note of caution: On weekend evenings, be prepared to wait for almost an hour.

Meal for Two: Rs 350

AC: Yes
