An aggressive opening batsmen, he is another of Pakistan's younger explosive generations, who made an impressive Test debut against Bangladesh in 2003-04.

A flamboyant strokemaker he lacks in the defensive technique which was evident on his Test debut, where he mixed strokes with play-and-misses outside off.

A member of the under-19 team he is all set to make a mark in the shorter version of the game. If he can work on his flaws then he could well be another youthful addition to the Pakistani team.
