Six killed, 32 injured as bus topples in Vidisha district

Six patients, including two women, were killed and 32 others injured when a bus carrying them turned turtle near Russali village near Vidisha, police said on Wednesday.

The bus belonging to Sadguru Seva Sangh Trust, Anandpur was carrying patients suffering from cataract, for treatment. They were being taken from Ashok Nagar to Anandpur camp when the bus toppled on Tuesday night.

The vehicle met with the accident after the bus driver lost control over it, police said. Three patients died on the spot, while as many succumbed to their injuries in a hospital.

The deceased have been identified as Babulal Bamori, Munnalal, Bhaiyalal, Pahal Singh, Sitabai and Nannibai.

The district administration has announced Rs 10,000 each to the families of the deceased and Rs 5,000 each to the seriously injured persons.
