Rescuers recovered six bodies from the wreckage of the bus after the crash in Gopalganj district, 100 kilometers southwest of the capital, Dhaka.
The injured, some of them in critical condition, were taken to the hospital, the report said.
The bus, packed with more than 50 people, was travelling from Dhaka to southern Bagherhat town.
Fatal road accidents, blamed on faulty vehicles, unskilled driving and lax rules, kill about 4,000 people each year in this impoverished South Asian nation, according to the state-run Bangladesh Road Transport Authority.
