Party's youth wing national president and MP Akhilesh Singh said that the SP, if necessary, would launch an agitation to exert pressure on the Union Government so that its demand was met.
He said that the SP-led Uttar Pradesh Government has been offering free education to the girls studying in graduate courses.
When asked about the absence of women in the party's recent youth wing meeting in the state capital, he said that the Party concentrated on bringing only the male members in the meeting, but added that such a mistake would not be repeated.
Singh said that the SP would soon convene a meeting of its women wing to encourage the women to come forward and actively work for strengthening the organisation.
