Led by students’ union president Ramakant Pandey, they took out a procession on the campus. Later, the students staged an indefinite dharna outside the central office.
Pandey said that they would recite the Hanuman Chalisa 108 times on Tuesday and hold a Buddhi-Shuddhi Yagya on Wednesday. The students will also burn the effigy of SSU vice-chancellor Prof Ashok Kumar Kalia on Wednesday, if their demands are not fulfilled.
Among other students who sat on dharna were Hemraj Garg, Saju Pandey, Saket Shukla, Sanjay Pandey, Kuldeep Chaturvedi and Pradeep Shukla. The SSU administration had suspended eight student leaders about a month ago.
