The 34-year-old villager hailing from Akhnoor tehsil of Jammu district tested positive for H1N1 virus, they said.
The villager has been put on ventilator at the Government Medical College here in view of his critical condition and administered Tamiflu, they said.
Dr R S Charak, who has been appointed as a Nodal officer for dealing with swine flu cases, said government has enough stocks of medicines to treat the disease.
Four persons have died due to swine flu in Jammu and Kashmir so far.
