Accenture's billboards and airport advertisements featuring Tiger Woods at the Shanghai Hongqiao Airport will soon be removed, the Beijing Star Daily has reported.

The global consulting and outsourcing firm decided to end its sponsorship deal with Woods, saying the golfer is "no longer the right representative" after the "circumstance of the last two weeks."

The announcement marks the company's first statement since allegations of Woods' infidelity surfaced in recent weeks. Accenture decided to break its ties with Woods after sports drink brand Gatorade and Gillette pulled away from the golfer.

Woods has announced that he will take an indefinite break from golf to spend time with his family. The firm said it could not afford to wait for the golfer's return to the sport.
