Two women doctors have been arrested here for allegedly killing a new-born child of a minor rape victim in Raigad district, police said today.

Acting on a complaint filed by the minor, police yesterday arrested Pramodini Paranjpe and Usha Bakare-Malgaonkar, working with a private hospital here.

The doctors have been booked for murder and kidnapping they said, adding both have been remanded to police custody till December 7.

The minor had delivered a premature baby few-days ago and the child was dumped into the biogas tank of the hospital by the doctors on December 2, police added.
