Two held with 366 kgs of poppy straw in Jammu

Two smugglers have been arrested and 366 kgs of poppy straw was recovered from their possession on Jammu-Srinagar highway in outskirts of Jammu, police said. During a routine checking, police intercepted a tanker at TCP Nagrota, 12-kms from here, yesterday and recovered 366 kgs of poppy straw from the vehicle, he said, adding the two smugglers were also arrested.

The accused have been identified as Harjeet Singh and Mohinder Singh, he said, adding a case has been registered against them and further investigation are on.
