Security forces on Friday shot dead a militant in Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir, police officials said in Jammu.
Acting on an information about presence of some militants in Batyas forest belt of Gandoh tehsil of Doda district, security forces launched a cordon and search operation today morning, they said.
One militant was killed in the gunbattle, they said, adding that the operation was still going on when the reports last came in.
