Suspected maoists have blown up a portion of the Karampeda railway station in Jharkhand in the wee hours on Monday, railway police sources said.

About 200 Ultras entered the station between 2 am and 3 am, planted explosives in the running room and blew it up, they added.

The ultras also stopped a iron ore-laden train entering the station but did not cause any damage, the sources said.
