Four youth were arrested on Tuesday for transporting cow meat in Uttar Pradesh’s Ghaziabad town. The incident occurred near Sikandarpur area.

The residents of Sikanderpur noticed four men transporting the fresh cow flesh in a car near Bhopura. Those arrested have been identified as Sonu, Usman, Asif and Haidar Ali, police said.

“We have suspended the area police post in charge for laxity in duty. The arrested youth have been sent to judicial custody,” said Ajay Pal, the SSP in-charge.
