Vatika City residents up ante against builder

The residents of Vatika City, a condominium at Sohna Road, staged a demonstration against the builder for failing to deliver on promised services and lack of security management in the society. A protest march was organised outside the complex on Saturday.

Vikas Gupta, general secretary, Apartment Buyers Association of Vatika City said, “Despite our repeated complaints, the maintenance agency did not solve any of the issues raised by us. The maintenance charges have been hiked two times, last in November 2011, at about 38%, but the security conditions have been deteriorating in the area.”

However, Rajender Yadav, estate manager, Vatika City, said, “A special meeting was called on Friday to discuss the security problem with residents. But some residents got annoyed as they were not called for the meeting so they staged a protest. We are ready to call another meeting to solve the issues of residents.”
