The New Delhi-London flight was scheduled for departure at 1.30 pm on Saturday but it could finally take off only on Sunday morning.

A spokesperson of Virgin Atlantic flight said that the flight (VS 301) was delayed due to a technical snag. “The flight was delayed due to technical snag. After all proper checks, the flight left early Sunday morning,” she said.

Though sources said that the passengers had a tough time after being stranded at the airport for so long, the spokesperson said that they were taken care of. She, however, refused to comment on whether they were provided hotel accommodation.
