A woman officer serving in the Air Defence Regiment in Chandigarh has filed complaints of alleged sexual misconduct against her Commanding officer and another senior officer.

The woman, a raw recruit, filed the complaint with her senior authorities recently and acting promptly the Western Army Command has ordered a court of inquiry into the charges.

"Some allegations have been made and a Court of Inquiry has been ordered to probe these," an army official said in New Delhi.

The authorities had ordered that the probe be conducted on fast track basis, he said.

The official said if the charges against a Colonel and Major rank officers substantiated, then a General Court Martial proceedings would be held."

If the officers are guilty, they will have to face consequences", the official said.

Both the officers belong to the 96 infantry brigade and in a move to ensure that nobody tramples with any evidence, the army authorities have shifted the woman recruit to different unit.
