Youth throws acid on Gurgaon schoolgirl's face

The girl, who is admitted in a private hospital, has suffered severe burn injuries on her face and arms but is out of danger, doctors attending on her said.

Jyoti, a Class X student of MD Senior Secondary School at village Jharsa, was on her way to school when the youth allegedly attacked her, police said.

Though she tried to protect herself with her hands, she suffered burns on the lower part of her face and hands, they said, adding that the youth was still at large.
