Sessions judge Abhay Thipsay adjourned the matter till next month as he would be proceeding on vacation from next week.

The court also rejected Zaheera and her family's lawyer Umesh Deshpande's plea of staying the perjury (giving false evidence) proceedings on the ground that they have challenged the Best Bakery judgment in the Bombay High Court.

Earlier this week, Deshpande filed a revision petition in the High Court, asking for expunging of adverse remarks passed by Thipsay in the his Best Bakery (retrial) judgment, delivered in February.

Thipsay had held, that Zaheera Shaikh, her brothers Nasibullah (who died in March) and Nafitullah, sister Sahira and mother Sehrunissa intentionally lied at the retrial of the case in order to help the defence.
