The injured medico--Dr Mohit Naredi, is also the president of the Junior Doctors Association, Indore. It is still not clear whether he will lose his eyesight due to the attack. "A CT scan is going on," a doctor at the hospital said.

"They came and attacked Dr Naredi, accusing him of not treating their patient properly", he added.

The junior doctors are huddled in a meeting at the MY HOspital and are likely to go on a strike to protest against the assault.

The name of the patient, whose relatives attacked the doctor, is still not known. However, some of the junior doctors who were present there said that friends and relatives of a patient who was admitted for jaundice in Ward number 20 were behind the attack.
