Indore to host national ranking TT tournament from October 6

The Central Zone National Ranking Table Tennis tournament, in which nearly 800 players representing different states will take part, will be held in Indore between October 6 and 11.

The tournament will be organised under the aegis of Madhya Pradesh Table Tennis Association.

"The winners and runners-up of different events would get a total prize money of Rs 5.76 lakh," Madhya Pradesh Table Tennis Association’s lifetime president Abhay Chhajlani told reporters.

The Table Tennis Federation of India’s (TTFI) Central Zone National Ranking Table Tennis Tournament is being organised after 12 years in Indore at Abhay Prashal Sports Club, he said.

Apart from the men’s and women’s singles, the event wil have youth, junior, sub-junior and cadet group boys and girls matches will be held.

TTFI president Prabhat C Chaturvedi, general secretary Dhanraj Choudhary and former national champion Kamlesh Mehta, among others would attend the tournament, Chhajlani said.
