The price of the heroin is worth around Rs 15-20 lakh in the Indian market and around Rs 1.5 crore in the international market.

The suspect Ravi Raghu-vangshi, a resident of Babu Murai Colony, Aerodrome Road, was caught in near Madhumilan Crossing, while he was riding a motorcycle.

Sources said that Raghuvan-gshi had a sophisticated electronic weighing scale with him, leading them to suspect that he was into selling drugs in small quantities to end users.

“The weighing scale is very accurate and can measure small amounts as 0.1 gram. It is likely that he was making small packets after weighing in the electronic weighing scale and then selling them,” sources in police said.

According to sources in police, in Indore, one gram of heroin is split into three portions and sold for around Rs 100 each.

During initial questioning, the accused has reportedly told police that he has a partner in Indore and brought the drugs from Pratapgarh.

Officials said they are trying to trace both the supplier and the partner of the accused. The police are also trying to find the users of the drugs.
