One arrested in Sidhi for forcing minor Dalit boy into oral sex

A trader has been arrested for forcing a five-year-old Dalit boy to have oral sex with him in Chaufaal Kathor village of Sidhi district, the police said on Wednesday.

A trader has been arrested for forcing a five-year-old Dalit boy to have oral sex with him in Chaufaal Kathor village of Sidhi district, the police said on Wednesday.

The incident took place on March 12 when the kid went to the shop of trader Raghunadan Prajapati to buy something. The kid was forcibly thrown inside a room situated behind the shop and was made to have oral sex by Prajapati, the police said.

Prajapati had sexually exploited the boy on two previous occasions but since the boy was from a poor family, the matter was not reported.

The police said that Prajapati was from an affluent family in the village and hence the victim’s father didn’t inform the police on the day of the incident.

"Prajapati had done this to the boy on two previous occasions but the family didn't file a complaint. After the March 12 incident, they again kept mum but someone advised the father to lodge a case," said town inspector Kotwali Anil Upadhyay.

On Tuesday, the family members lodged a complaint against Prajapati with the police. After receiving the complaint the police immediately swung into action and arrested the accused within an hour.
