IPL 2017: Delhi Daredevils’ Sanju Samson slams 500th six of tournament

Sanju Samson looked in great form as he smashed the 500th six in the 2017 Indian Premier League as Delhi Daredevils eventually beat Gujarat Lions by seven wickets.

In the second ball of the sixth over bowled by Suresh Raina, Samson rocked back to a short ball and pulled the bowler into the stands at deep mid wicket as Delhi Daredevils chased down a target of 209 with ease.

Samson has been the form batsman for Delhi Daredevils in this edition. He became the first batsman to score a century in this tournament when he smashed 102 against Rising Pune Supergiant at the MCA stadium on April 11. Currently, the right-hander is the leading run-getter for Delhi Daredevils in this tournament, averaging well over 37 with a strike-rate of 144.4.

Delhi Daredevils beat Gujarat Lions by seven wickets to stay alive for the play-off race in the 2017 IPL. Samson scored 61 off 31 balls. Rishabh Pant scored 97 off 43 balls.
