CITU to observe 'Day of Mourning' for Maoist attack

Left trade union Centre of Indian Trade Unions (CITU) on Friday gave a call for observing 'Day of Mourning' on Saturday in memory of those killed in the Maoist attack on Gyaneswari Express.

Left trade union Centre of Indian Trade Unions (CITU) on Friday gave a call for observing 'Day of Mourning' on Saturday in memory of those killed in the Maoist attack on Gyaneswari Express.

"We call on the people of the state to observe a day of mourning tomorrow to pay respects to the dead and compassion to the injured," CITU West Bengal unit said in a press release.

They called on workers to observe a two-minute silence to pay respects and take a resolution condemning the Maoist attack before joining work.
