Dasmunsi reacts to US report on Nandigram

Union Minister PR Dasmunsi said US had not given its views on such violations in Iraq in its report.

With the US state department listing human rights violation in Nandigram in its annual report, Union Minister PR Dasmunsi on Friday said it had not given its views on such violations in Iraq.

"It is a universally admissible fact (Nandigram violence and human rights violation), but the US government did not yet give its views on human rights violation in Iraq," Dasmunsi, the Information and Broadcasting minister said.

He said it was "nothing new" and there were human rights violation and brutal killings in both Nandigram and in Gujarat.
