A high-level meeting was held in the factory premises yesterday to review its security after intelligence reports of a possible Maoist attack were received, Additional Director General, CID, Bhupinder Singh told PTI on Saturday.

"Instructions to strengthen the security at the small car factory in Singur were given after reviewing the situation," Singh said, but ruled out the need for additional deployment of police personnel.

After the meeting, the CID officials inspected the factory premises.

IGP, Western Range, Kuldip Singh and Hooghly Superintendent of Police Rajiv Mishra attended the meeting, besides senior district and Tata Motors officials.
