The WR authorities are working with Rotary and Lions Club to construct small gardens near the tracks, platforms and other areas.

The project will also cover Borivali, Bhayander, Vasai and Nalasopara.

The initiative is part of the Swacchata Pakhwada (cleanliness fortnight), which started on August 16.

Central railway stations already have such small gardens, which are mostly used to throw waste material and burn waste products and garbage.
