Card cloning gang busted in Mumbai’s Andheri, three arrested

They recovered more than 250 blank cards from the accused, who were caught red-handed.

The DN Nagar police, on Friday night, arrested three people from DN Nagar and busted a high-profile card cloning gang.

They recovered more than 250 blank cards from the accused – Dharmendra Saini, Siddharth Gandhi and Amarveer Singh –who were caught red-handed.

“There was a skimmer attached to the ATM and a spy camera of the same colour right above the keypad of the ATM. The skimmer saved the data of the card and the spy camera stored the pin numbers,” said a police officer.

The police found out that Singh was a driver, who was hired from Ludhiana by Saini and Gandhi. Saini and Gandhi used to travel by flight, whereas Singh came via road.

“Singh used to carry the skimmer and other instruments as the other two would be caught by the scanning machines at the airport. Saini and Gandhi used to hire drivers for their operations at different places,” he said.

According to police , Saini and Gandhi have around seven to eight cases in Rajasthan and one case in Delhi against them.

“We have recovered more than 250 blank cards and a skimmer, spy camera and laptops. Further investigations are on,” he said.
