A fire broke out in the college building of BYL Nair Charitable Hospital in Mumbai. Four water tankers and four fire engines doused the blaze quickly. Cooling operations are ongoing.

Meanwhile, a major fire broke out at a shoe godown at Bhiwandi at 7 am on Thursday. Primary investigations revealed that a short-circuit was responsible for the blaze.

“More than six fire water tankers and four fire engines doused the fire by 10.45 am,” said senior official from the disaster management cell.
