The derailment on the harbour line led to a morning rush at Kurla station on Monday with a large chunk of office goers hit. A huge crowd of commuters were stuck at the over bridge leading to platform 7 and 8.

Earlier, the Central Railway suspended suburban services owing to the derailment of a Kurla-bound goods train at Guru Teg Bahadur Nagar. Railway sources said three of the train’s wagons, along with a brake van, were derailed at 4.15 am. No one was injured. However, the incident threw harbour line services out of gear.
