To counter the attack from the Opposition, chief minister Devendra Fadnavis said on Sunday that his government will expose the Opposition by unveiling the scams and misappropriation by Congress-Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) regime until 2014. Fadnavis said the government will also reveal the detailed information about the irrigation scam very soon.

The Opposition parties have announced ‘Halla Bol’ rally at Vidhan Bhavan on Tuesday to highlight the issues of the farmers in distress and held government policies responsible for it. The Opposition parties, while boycotting the customary tea party on the eve of the winter session beginning on Monday, announced to expose the government on various issues in both the houses. Replying to it, CM said that the government was ready to face the challenge and the comparative figures of the performance of the government will be given in the house.

“My government is all set to produce figures comparing the performance of our regime of three years against their rule of 15 years. The Opposition is not able to digest the transparent governance we have introduced as they have been firm believer in the scams and misappropriations in administration. They have no right to blame us for the pathetic condition of the farmers, as their three term rule is responsible for it,” he said.

The CM said the Rs5,000-crore scam in the scholarship during the Congress-NCP rule was an example of their corrupt rule. When asked why the government was sitting on the inquiry related to the irrigation scam, the CM said that he will soon share detailed information about the investigation. He said that four first information reports have been filed and few more will soon be filed in the irregularities. “The charge sheet in one of the cases has been submitted. We have been avoiding speaking about it, but now the time has come to speak up. I will soon share detailed information about the investigation,” he said.

Leader of Opposition in the state council Dhananjay Munde had also alleged on Sunday that noted criminal from Nagpur Munna Yadav was close to the CM and this can be proved if the mobile phone records are examined. Munde also had alleged a scam in the online disbursement of the loan waiver and scholarship to the students from scholarships to the scheduled caste students.

The CM dared Munde and said he was ready to hand over his phone to prove any such conversation.

It may be recalled that the government has warned the opposition with initiating old scams whenever the opposition tried to expose the government. CM Fadnavis had in the past said that he has many cases of scams by the earlier government and its ministers.

Fadnavis said that the government has brought transparency in the entire loan waiver disbursement system. “41 lakh farmers will get the benefits of the waiver credited in their accounts within next two weeks,” he said.
