Former media baron Peter Mukerjea’s lawyer accused Mekhail Bora, his stepson, for falsely implicating him in Sheena Bora’s murder at the instance of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).
Mukerjea’s lawyer Shrikant Shivde cross examined Mekhail, the 15th witness in the case, on Monday.
Shivde confronted him on his statement that was given first to Khar police station and then to CBI.
Mekhail has claimed that Sheena had spoken to him about the differences in the family due to her relationship with Rahul, Peter’s son.
Mekhail also claimed that Sheena had told him that their mother Indrani and stepfather Peter were against their relationship.
Shivde claimed that he had missed specifying that particular conversation before the Khar police and is only mentioned in the statement he gave to CBI much later.
Shivde accused him of disclosing selective information, under the instructions of the CBI. Mekhail, however, denied all allegations.
With this, Mekhail’s deposition concluded on Monday.
The central agency will now bring the 16th witness before the court next month in the case against Indrani, her former husband Sanjeev Khanna and Peter.
