A week after he was fired from his job, a 25-year-old dentist was found dead in his Kandivli apartment on Thursday. The police said they found a suicide note in the room.

Bhavik Tansalia lived in Iraniwadi in Kandivli (West) with his mother and brother and was unmarried, police said.

Around 7.30am on Thursday, his family members found him hanging from the fan in his room. Police suspect he committed suicide between Wednesday night and Thursday morning.

Tansalia left behind a suicide note in which he had written he was frustrated because of unemployment. He lost his job at a private firm in Andheri last week over performance issues, said police.

“We have filed an accidental death report. His family also said he was frustrated owing to unemployment,” said Mukund Pawar, senior inspector at Kandivli police station.

The police have sent Tansalia’s body for an autopsy. They have not found any foul play as of now. His family told the police Talsania spoke to them on Wednesday night, but they did not notice anything amiss in his behaviour.

The police will be recording a detailed statement of his family members.
