Two men trying to break open ATM arrested in Badlapur
According to police, the accused entered the kiosk between 3am to 4am and disconnected the CCTV cameras. No security guard had been posted at the spot, said police.
The police on Thursday morning arrested two people while they were attempting to break open an ATM, in order to steal cash from it, at Mohananand Nagar in Badlapur (West).

According to police, the accused entered the kiosk between 3am to 4am and disconnected the CCTV cameras. No security guard had been posted at the spot, said police.
The accused were identified as Chetan Kadalkar, 29, and Dipesh Chaudhary, 22, both residents of Kalyan. Kadalkar has been hired by a real estate firm to put up advertising banners, while Chaudhary is an autorickshaw driver.
“They tried to break open the cash chamber of the ATM with screw drivers and an iron rod,” said Laxman Sariputra, senior police inspector of Badlapur West police station. “Residents of a nearby building suspected something and alerted the police control room. By the time we reached the spot, the accused had almost broken the machine.”
