A man committed suicide near Tarapore fish emporium in South Mumbai on Thursday.

According to the Marine Drive police, the man hanged himself from the railing of the staircase of the Meghdoot flyover bridge around 6.15 pm.
After noticing a person hanging from the railing, a passerby informed the control room.
The deceased who is around 45 years old was found hanging with help of a nylon rope.
The person was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was declared dead on arrival.
The body has now been sent to J.J. Hospital where a postmortem will be conducted.
The Marine Drive police have registered a case of accidental death and are trying to trace the identity of the deceased.
The police have not found any suicide note from the spot. So far nobody has claimed his body.
“The man appears to be a road side ruffian. We do not suspect any foul play. His clothes were torn,” said Senior Inspector, Zunjarrao Gharal of Marine Drive police station.
