Veteran Bollywood actor Manoj Kumar will undergo gall bladder surgery on Wednesday at a suburban hospital in Mumbai.

The 75-year-old actor, who was admitted to Kokilaben Hospital in suburban Andheri two days ago, will undergo the surgery coinciding with his birthday.

"He is undergoing gall bladder surgery at 8 am," hospital sources said.

The seasoned actor, renamed as "Mr Bharat Kumar" for having acted and directed movies based on the theme of patriotism, is known for his films 'Hariyali Aur Raasta', 'Woh Kaun Thi', 'Himalaya Ki God Mein', 'Do Badan', 'Upkar', 'Patthar Ke Sanam', 'Neel Kamal', 'Purab Aur Paschim', 'Roti Kapda Aur Makaan', 'Kranti' to name a few.
