According to the police, the incident happened in the Indira Nagar area of Mankhurd on Saturday. The accused has been identified as Abdullah Sheikh.

Police said Sheikh’s wife, in her complaint, said she had gone to fill water at 3 am. When she came back she found her husband forcing himself on their 14-year-old daughter. When she objected it to his act, Sheikh assaulted her.

The officials said that this lead to quarrel between them. On learning about the alleged rape, the neighbours thrashed the accused, but he managed to flee from the spot. The accused is still not traceable.
